Work faster with Word with more shortcuts and some handy techniques that will make you a power user - faster and more productive.
Here's a quick one. Use Ctrl Z to undo your last change. Every time you decide to undo something, just press Ctrl Z.
Want to find something in your document? Use Ctrl F to find. For some reason it's Ctrl H for find and replace. I don't know why, but it is. And did you know you can find all sorts of things, like paragraph marks, tabs and many more things? In the Find dialogue box click More then Special.
Need to go to a particular page? It's Ctrl G for Go, type the page number and press Enter. Like the Find dialogue box there are lots of options once you have opened that window with Ctrl G.
How often do you use tables in Word? The answer should be "Any time I want columns". If you want parallel columns (as opposed to newspaper-style snaking columns), use Word tables. They are a great feature. Any time you want text aligned in columns, just use a table. Here isn't an easy shortcut key so click Insert | Table. If you really want just columns, not a table, all you have to do is remove the border by selecting No border from the Home menu.
