Senior IT help desk consultant

We are looking for the right person to add IT skills and experience to our service desk - someone with sound Windows network skills and experience of working in an IT support environment.

 
Riverbank is a team of eleven people providing IT services to businesses. We are the outsourced IT Department for our clients, mainly growing businesses in the Thames Valley and London that have up to 100 computer users. We provide all the IT support they need to keep their networks running smoothly. We install networks, set up internet connections and VPNs, and provide helpdesk support for around 1000 computer users.
 
Working within a busy service desk environment you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft server technologies including Windows Server and Exchange
  • Experience of working in a support environment such as a service desk or help desk
  • If you have technical knowledge of any of Sophos anti-virus, BlackBerry server software and SonicWALL products it would be an advantage
 
You will be working in a multi-client environment supporting multiple networks. You will need to be able to prioritise tasks and work methodically. As well as technical knowledge and experience we are also looking for good inter-personal skills and someone who enjoys working with people as much as machines.
 
The work is a combination of office-based telephone and remote support plus on-site work as required.
 
This is a full-time post but we would also consider applicants looking for a part-time position. Salary will be in the range of £25,000 to £35,000.
 
We offer a friendly and informal office environment with an easy commute to our rural office a few miles south of Thame.
