Malcolm Newdick - Managing Director
After gaining his Doctorate in Biology Malcolm moved into IT, initially as a programmer and tutor in programming at Oxford University. In 1987 Malcolm founded Update Software which he ran for seven years. He left in 1994 to work overseas with Save the Children for two years as IT Adviser to the Mozambique Ministry of Health.The full story here
Marc Juffkins - Operations Director
Prior to joining Riverbank in 2004 Marc worked at De Agostini publishing for 9 years where he was IT Manager for the UK and satellite offices in Europe and Japan.
He left De Agostini in 2001 to start his own IT support company, Earthsolution. After 2˝ years of friendly negotiations he merged Earthsolution into Riverbank taking the post of Service Director.
Chris Jones – Business Development Manager
The post of Business Development Manager is a new one within Riverbank and Chris, who joined in August 2008, is very much looking forward to driving the business forward.
Chris brings with him 20 years of experience covering account management and business development with Allied Telesyn, Computacentre and Wyless Plc.
Outside of work Chris is a family man. An avid fan of Arsenal FC he also has high hopes for Wheatley Boys FC U12 both as their coach and manager.
Jamie Slater - Senior Support Consultant
Jamie has a degree in Computer Science from Southampton University. He joined Riverbank in January 2004.
In March 2007 Jamie achieved the qualification of MCSE (Microsoft Certified Network Engineer).
Ian Heritage - Senior Support Consultant
Ian originally came to Riverbank in 2003 on work experience, becoming a support consultant in 2005. During his time with Riverbank Ian has gained an AVCE in Information Technology and a degree in computing from Oxford Brookes University. Ian's main responsibility as Senior Support Consultant is managing the helpdesk for Riverbank clients to ensure the level of service is met 100% of the time. He is also involved in developing Web 2.0 Technolgies.
When not in the office Ian enjoys keeping fit and developing websites.
Nissar Mohamed – Senior Support Consultant
In July 2008 Nissar joined the Riverbank technical team as a Senior Support Consultant.
Nissar started his career working as a Trainee Computer Technician for the Royal Military College of Science in Shrivenham, during his time here he began studying for his MCSE(Microsoft Certified Network Engineer). Nissar enjoys working in a support environment and stayed in this field for over 10 years working for Oxfordshire NHS Trust and lately for Travelodge.
As part of Riverbank Nissar is gaining experience working with new technologies and applications, as well as meeting clients and helping provide proactive support.
Marc Prole – Senior Support Consultant
Marc joined Riverbank in August 2008 as a Senior Support Consultant. Beforehand he worked for a leading law firm in Oxford as Network Administrator after having joined as an IT Assistant.
Marc has previously studied the Comptia A+ qualification, and will be working on furthering his qualifications whilst here at Riverbank.
Kez Withers - Support Consultant
Kez joined Riverbank’s team of support consultants in the summer of 2006. Prior to joining, he held a managerial position for a well known retail company. After successfully co-ordinating the 16-week implementation of a new IT infrastructure, this gave him the motivation to transfer his skills into a more demanding career.
Kez is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in Windows XP and is working towards furthering his qualifications.
Jamie Thorpe - Support Consultant
Jamie joined the Riverbank in November 2007. He previously worked as a software support consultant for a financial software reseller. Before that he worked with Research Machines, a major UK PC reseller for schools and colleges, where he was a software support engineer.
At Riverbank Jamie is working towards his first Microsoft Certified Professional qualification in Windows Vista, plus a PC hardware certification.
Sarah Hunt - Office Manager
Sarah Hunt joined Riverbank as Office Manager in March 2005. This was a new post resulting from the continued expansion of the business.
Amongst many other things on her list of responsibilities, Sarah is also responsible for managing the help desk, keeping the help desk service running smoothly.
Amber Juffkins - Marketing Executive
Amber joined Riverbank on a part-time basis as a Marketing Executive in November 2006.
Her responsibilities include planning, organising and ensuring the smooth running of Riverbank seminars, frequent review and updating of the Riverbank website and the production of our monthly newsletters.
Scott Middleton - Apple Mac Specialist
Scott is Riverbank’s Mac specialist. He is an associate and is based in London.
