Introducing Riverbank SecureConnect

written by Malcolm Newdick

IT security is a high priority

You are increasingly worried about IT security. You have a feeling that some sort of attack is becoming more likely, probably via malware or ransomware. And all the new GDPR responsibilities only add to your worries. Or perhaps you wonder how your Internet connection is being used and why you need so much bandwidth. It’s something you wish you had visibility of, so you could see what you are paying for and, most importantly, manage.

Cyberattacks are the top business risk “Data breaches and cyberattacks are no longer back-of-mind concerns. To the modern executive, they represent the No. 1 risk to business, brand, operations and financials. So much so, Lloyd’s of London, one of the world’s oldest and premier specialty insurance markets, now considers cyberattacks an even bigger threat than catastrophic natural disasters.” Source: 2018 SonicWall Cyber Threat Report

How Riverbank SecureConnect can protect you

Riverbank SecureConnect provides protection for your core network infrastructure, keeping the outsiders out and letting you manage how your people use the internet from the inside.

There is continuous evolution of the threats and the measures you need to take to protect yourself. Because Riverbank SecureConnect is a service rather than a product, your protection is being updated all the time and it is actively managed and monitored by Riverbank.

In response to the changing types of threat, the underlying technology in Riverbank SecureConnect includes the ability to test suspect code. Suspect and unknown code is now despatched to a web-based test area (a ‘sandbox’) before being released into your computer network. All in real-time.

Cyber threats can also arrive encrypted. To protect you from these attacks we introduced in 2018 a technology called deep packet inspection (DPI-SSL). This sees inside the encrypted data and verifies it before allowing it in. This is an optional addition to Riverbank SecureConnect.
